Edgewood (Suffolk)-based CPI Aerostructures Inc. received a $3.5 milllion contract to build parts for a new Gulfstream jet, the G650. The contract was awarded from Spirit Aero-systems Inc. of Wichita, KA, and according to CPI's chief executive, "the potential revenue is expected to be more than $86 million over the life of the 10 year contract as the scope of work expands".
