Crane Operator
Description
A crane operator operates any type of crane (cable, boom or hydraulic) on a construction, demolition or excavation site, outside of New York City.
Certification Requirements
An applicant must file an application for certification with the New York State Department of Labor in order to become a certified crane operator.
Age Requirement
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years practical experience in the operation and maintenance of a crane.

$150 New (non-refundable)
$150 Renewal
Examination Description
Both written and practical.
Certification Renewals
Every 3 years.
