Life Settlement Broker

Description:

Life settlement brokers are special insurance company intermediaries who represent eligible life insurance policyowners, for a fee or a commission, in negotiated arrangements which enable partial policy proceeds payments in advance of death.

Licensing Requirements:

Applicants seeking to become a licensed life settlement broker in New York State must apply to the New York State Insurance Department. Licenses must be renewed annually.
