Q: What is the Federal Additional Compensation (FAC) program?
A:
This temporary program provided a weekly payment of $25 more to claimants who collected weekly unemployment benefits. It was only available to individuals who filed a regular unemployment claim effective on or before May 24, 2010. The last payable week of FAC was the week ending 12/12/10.

Q: What were the requirements to receive FAC?
A:
As long as an individual was eligible to receive unemployment benefits for a given week, they could receive the additional $25 weekly payment (FAC). This included individuals that received regular UI benefits, EUC, EB, DUA & TRA. Not eligible for the FAC payment were individuals:
Receiving 599.2 benefits (approved training funds)
Individuals with a zero benefit rate due to a pension or worker’s compensation reduction, a determination that educational wages cannot be used in a claim, a week forfeited due to a wilful misrepresentation determination.
