TAA eligible workers have various means to access computers to fulfill the need for computer use as it relates to the successful completion of a Trade Act approved employment plan. Computer access points include computer labs on campus, in public libraries and one-stop centers.

The New York State Department of Labor’s Policy is as follows:

Laptop and Desktop computers cannot be purchased with TAA funds for any approved employment plan.

When the cost of a computer is embedded as part of the tuition, the cost must be identified in the employment plan and deducted from the tuition cost.
