New York State Minimum Wage is Now $7.25 /Hr.

New York State has several laws in place to protect workers’ safety and health.  We oversee amusement rides,  ski lifts, boilers, asbestos, mines, and public employees.

Final Regulations for the Workplace Safety and Loss Preventive Incentive Program (Part 60,
12 NYCRR)
Section 134(6-10) of the Workers’ Compensation Law (WCL) was amended in 2007 to provide employers additional incentives to implement voluntary safety and loss prevention programs. The program allows certain employers to receive a reduction in workers' compensation costs for implementing a Safety Incentive Program, a Drug and Alcohol Prevention Program, and/or a Return to Work Program. Criteria also was established in the regulations for the certification of Safety and Loss Management Specialists who perform such services for this program.
